Day 7

The morning after the night before! Actually I was driving so no hangover for me- cant say the same for the others!!
One good thing today is that my husband has set me up with a wireless laptop in the kitchen so I can get my assigments done more easily - the problem in this house is sharing the computer with the kids - so now this one is all mine!Pity I didnt have it at the begining of the week or I could have recorded this blog daily.
Had a nice family day - kids were playing in badminton tournamment, and we went out for a curry in the eveing.

Day 6

Saturday - first thing taking son to guitar lesson. Usually go to a nearby coffee shop and relax with a latte and newspaper - bliss.
Today was extra busy as it was my freinds 40th birthday party and we had agreed to help with various aspect.
Feeling a bit stressed during the day as we were non stop with chores all day and nagging the kida about homework. About 2pm I took myself off to the garden to "potter" and relax myself a bit which worked and felt better.
Spent a couple of hours collecting balloons, setting out food etc for the party then home to shower and change. Took my son to a sleepover, my daughter went out with freinds and we wento the party. A fantastic night was had by all - lots of dancing - there were 5 of us who are now all over 40, great mates and having an "80's fest" plenty of culture club etc.

Day 5

I work one day a week with an organic veg box scheme and so that was todays main focus. Its a very early start - I get up at 5.30 and start work at 6.30 - I dont see the family at all on friday mornings!. Glad it wasnt so cold today.
I use a Sat nav to find any new customers - they are fantastic - so much easier than a map.
And of course I listen to the radio all day - switching between radio 1 - I love Chris Moyles, Radio 4 - womens hour/afternoon play and archers, and Radio 2 in between.
I enjoy this work but its quite demanding physically so always come home shattered - time to relax with a cuppa and catch up on some tv I have recorded.
Fridays are a rush to get the kids to a couple of activities, my husband usually does the driving on fridays as I have had enough by then

Day 4

Today I sepnt the day at a Natioanl trust property where I do voluntary work.
There were 7 of us building a huge compost bin. It was freezing cold but sunny and once we got working and chatting evryone had a great time.
Home to cook dinner and all sit down together - which doesnt happen often enough as we have busy lives.
When I got home my daughter reminded me that we were due to go to a college open evening as she is thinking about her options after leaving school.
We researched the college on the internet and looked at thier Ofsted report before we went.
It was an interesting evening and the tutors on the course she is interested in were very lively and chatty so it was all very up beat. We also took a freind of hers along - that seems to be the way - we alsways have an extra one tagging along!

Day 3

Well sorry about the sudden end the my last post - technology problem!! The wireless key board on the main computer stopped working - all sorted out now - but annoying in the short term. I should say that I am new to "blogging" and so am writing a weeks worth of notes up so these will appear as if on one day when in fact they cover a week in November 2007.
So, onto todyas activities - a very relaxing day. My husband was off work so we went out to Derbyshire walking for the day - no mobile phone signal so no interuptions for any of us.
We talked about getting a hand held "satnav" as we are hoping to do more walking now the kids getting older.Stopped for a pub lunch in a lovely pub with a roaring fire - perfect!
Took my daighter to her maths tutor this evening and was interested to see the interactive cd rom teaching aids they use - they are really good for going over specific things that the kids dont get first time

Day 2

Another day at college, made use of computers at college today in some free time. I store information on a flash drive so I always have something to work on. Used a "garden design" programme which was good fun but a bit tricky to get to grips with. An enjoyable day.
The evening was spent driving the children to activities and shopping. Managed to listen to the radio on my travels - I love the archers and sometimes "listen again" on computer. I now have a rechargeable digital radio which means I can take the radio outside (ITS EVEN WATERPROOF!)This has been a great bonus for me. No time for tv today but set the sky box to record a few programmes (Susanna and Tr

Day 1

College today - I am studying horticulture at a local Uni/fe college.
The morning was the usual rush to get myself and kids ready to go at 8am - bit stressful but I'm quite organised and nothing went wrong today!
Text sent to the freind who I give a lift to to confirm arrangements - much quicker than getting involved in a phone conversation.
Spent the evening watching tv - a films called "Joe's palace" which I recorded on sky, nice and relaxed with a glass of wine - all I am fit for after a long day.
